The risk/reward ratio from day one is set at a level commensurate with the time remaining until the anticipated withdrawal date (so someone with a 20 year growth horizon will initially be at a higher risk/reward ratio than someone with 10 year investment horizon, etc.). As each target date approaches risk is managed down.

 

IM Optimum Growth & Income does the same, but instead of managing down as each target date approaches it manages into a balanced income-producing portfolio. This is ideal for people wanting growth now and income in the future (to withdraw or reinvest for further growth).

 

IM Optimum Income is a portfolio that manages risk at a balanced level on an ongoing basis, making asset allocation and underlying investment management changes in line with prevalent market conditions. This portfolio is not target dated and is designed to provide the optimum level of income for withdrawal or reinvestment. It is therefore, despite its name, often used for growth.

 

The fee structure for all IM Optimum Portfolios has been designed to ensure an average reduction in yield of 0.95% including all costs in relation to the running of the portfolios (including the underlying investments, stamp duty, platform and custodian fees, etc.) and the portfolios are available with no inital, annual or income payment charges through our IM Optimum SIPP and IM Bespoke SIPP.
